The Art & Sculpture of Venusian Gardens
Venusian Gardens is best known for it’s exhibitions of the Venusian World Sculpture Collection, an inter-related group of sculpture series related to the artist’s rendition of the luminous fauna and flora of the fantasy luminous world of Venusia. Included in this collection are the neon and blown glass Venusian Jellyfish along with many other different Venusian-themed artworks. These works include a variety of luminous neon & blown glass and/or metal plant-like sculptures collectively referred to as “Venusian Botanica” that occupy walls, table tops, floor spaces along with some suspended from the ceilings.
On a very different note from the Venusian artwork, there are also many luminous sculptures reflecting various artistic styles on display. Many works in neon and mixed media are reminiscent of the early 20th century Russian Constructivists. Other pieces reflect the influence of 20th century Western painters such as Kandinsky and Miro.
The three story Venusian Gardens consists of several different exhibition spaces, with artwork and interior design elements displayed throughout, including the bathrooms and stairwells. In an effort to provide a manageable means of presenting the vast amount of artwork and interior design pieces at VG on this website, the works are presented here based on their exhibition location rather than by distinguishing features of the works themselves.
Most of the artwork exhibited at VG is on permanent display whereas we host temporary exhibitions of new work by the artists at VG as well as outside artists. While the temporary exhibitions are generally displayed in the Main Gallery, the permanent collection is exhibited throughout Venusian Gardens, including the stairwell, the bathrooms, the side garden and even sometimes the catering kitchen. In an effort to provide a manageable means of presenting the vast amount of artwork and interior design pieces at VG on this website, the works are presented here based on their exhibition location rather than by distinguishing features of the works themselves.
The upcoming rotating exhibitions which we anticipate to start up again in 2023 will be viewed on the “Current Exhibition” page.
